Welcome to the Institute of Sociology at JGU Mainz!

We would like to provide you with some initial orientation information at the beginning of your studies this semester and draw your attention to our offers during our introduction week.

We can imagine that you have many questions. We would like to answer them as best we can. In addition to the general information on this homepage and the brochure “Starting your studies in Sociology”, we also offer you a welcome event.

If it is not possible for you to attend the face-to-face event, or if you only think of some questions after the welcome event, you are welcome to ask them by email or visit us during consultation hours during the introduction week. Outside of office hours, we can usually be reached by phone, via MS Teams and by email.
