Nevertheless, a time recommendation is made to ensure that all examinations required for the BA degree are completed and evaluated within one semester.
The background to this recommendation is that with the suggested time planning, you will have completed all examinations by the start of the new semester if all deadlines are met, thus enabling a smooth transition to a master's degree program. You will also save yourself the trouble of paying the semester fee for another semester or having it refunded.
You can find out about the options for refunding the semester fee from the General Students' Committee or the Central Student Secretariat(https://www.studium.uni-mainz.de/mein-studium/studienorganisation/finanzielles/#ruckerstattungen).

Processing time of the bachelor's thesis:

1 week start of deadline due to postal delivery time

9 weeks to complete the BA thesis

The bachelor's thesis is submitted to the central examination office as a PDF file.
