The Sociology student advising office administers the bachelor’s and master’s degree programs and supports their continuous quality assurance. The employees of the study office are available to students and teaching staff as contact persons for all questions relating to the program of study and Jogustine.

The head of the Office of Student Affairs is responsible for the organization and coordination of degree programs in the subject of Sociology. This includes, for example, coordinating with other subjects in the case of course links, examination of the courses registered by the teaching staff, coordinating the securing of course offerings – in short: planning and setting up the entire semester program.
The course manager supports the head of the Office of Student Affairs in organizing the degree programs and planning the semester program. For example, she checks the course offerings with the teaching staff and is responsible for room planning and allocation. She continuously updates the data in CampusNet and checks it for consistency.
The program of study advisor informs and advises students on the structure and content of the program of study and the degree plan. She takes care of the recognition of credits in the event of a transfer between universities or subjects and the issuing of BAföG proposals (Form 5). It advises students before and after an (Erasmus+) stay abroad on the possibilities of recognition of credits earned abroad.
